The 5th Annual Greenbrier Challenge will be held August 2 at Marlinton Municipal Park in Marlinton, WV. Please recruit your riding friends, form a team, and join us for CAWV fastest growing event.

Here's what to do:

  • Fill out the registration and waiver forms
  • Use the pledge sheet to record your pledges
  • collect money from your sponsors
  • either bring the money with you or convert cash to checks and mail to CAWV

The event includes lunch and dinner, an awards ceremony, and a t-shirt.

Sponsors are also needed to underwrite this event ($100 minimum per sponsor.) Sponsors are recognized on the event t-shirt. Each sponsor will receive an event shirt.

We challenge your relay team or solo riders to ride or walk the beautiful Greenbrier River Trail with us. The Greenbrier River Trail has a very moderate grade and a packed limestone surface that presents opportunities for every bicycling ability level. The Greenbrier Challenge is a fully supported event with a shuttle service, rest stops and a fabulous barbeque and awards ceremony. Each rider will be required to wear a helmet. Mountain bikes or hybrids with knobby tires are suggested for the terrain. Prizes will be awarded in several categories. Challenged Athletes are encouraged to ride and/or walk.

RAISE $1000 IN NINE DAYS

Day 1    Sponsor yourself for $50
Day 2    Ask two family members to sponsor you for $50..
Day 3    Ask 10 friends to contribute $20.
Day 4    Ask five co-workers to contribute $20.
Day 5    Ask five neighbors to contribute $20.
Day 6    Ask 10 people from your church to contribute $10.
Day 7    Get a $50 contribution from your company, or get them to match what you raise.
Day 8    Ask five businesses that you deal with at work to sponsor your for $10.
Day 9    Ask four businesses you frequent to personally contribute $25.
